Clinical Interest

Dr. Chitale received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his neurological surgery residency and endovascular neurological surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, as well. His research interests focus on clinical outcomes and simulator training.

His clinical areas of interest include intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and dural arteriovenous fistulae, cavernomas, carotid artery stenosis, and stroke.

Dr. Chitale joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2015 after serving as Co-director of Neurointerventional Surgery at Cooper Neurological Institute in Camden, NJ. He is Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery and Radiology and Radiological Sciences.
