3. Division of Addiction Psychiatry

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time clinical addiction psychiatrist to serve as both a clinician-researcher and a key collaborator in our growing division.  In addition to a clinical footprint, this position will include the collaborative development of research trials and education materials related to addiction psychiatry.  The ideal candidate will have the requisite skills to help supervise clinical trainees and to develop new research and education programs.  An entrepreneurial drive will be encouraged as we seek to build capacity to provide evidence-based addiction treatment. 

This position will include a mix of both clinical work, research and development of educational materials in collaboration with the division director and other department leadership.  It will include opportunities for clinical teaching and supervision and teaching seminars for medical students and residents. There will be opportunities to be involved in research activities, either joining existing projects or conducting independent research.

The position is full-time and would have a primary appointment in the Vanderbilt Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  Vanderbilt University Medical Center offers an attractive benefits package and highly competitive salaries. Qualified applicants should have specialty training, education, research and clinical experience related to addiction.
