Shelby joined the Osher team as a behavioral health psychologist in September 2019. She is also a clinical assistant professor through Vanderbilt’s department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She received her PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee and completed her clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Vanderbilt University Counseling Center. During her academic training Dr. Reyes received advanced training in body-centered and mindfulness-based psychotherapies, dialectical behavior therapy, and clinical hypnosis. She began her personal meditation journey in 2013 and has since completed additional trainings as a mindfulness teacher. Her clinical interests focus on the treatment of chronic pain, trauma, and affect regulation disorders
