I'm originally from West Virginia and received my bachelor's degree in biology from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2014. I then started in the Vanderbilt IGP in the fall of 2014 and joined the laboratory of Eric Skaar.

Research Description

My research focuses on understanding how bacterial pathogens respond to nutrient limitation, particularly within the context of infection. I primarily work with the opportunistic pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii and mechanisms this pathogen utilizes to acquire nutrient zinc.
