Background
Dr. Patel is originally from New Jersey. He received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency training at Rutgers followed by a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Patel has authored several publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Patel has particular interest in the medical and surgical management of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular trauma.
