Lydia MacDonald is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist for Insomnia in the Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her clinical role within the Sleep Disorders Division includes providing cognitive behavioral therapy to patients experiencing insomnia to develop a sustainable therapeutic management plan. She also serves as a research nurse for the division, focusing on sleep and autism. Lydia is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. 

Prior to her current appointment, Lydia served primarily as a research nurse for the Sleep Disorders Division, as well as a registered nurse at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and other area hospitals. She earned her MSN in Psychiatric Nursing at Eastern Kentucky University, and her BSN at Belmont University. She earned a BA in Psychology at Rhodes College (Memphis, TN).
