Each day is built around a specific clinical topic presented by VUMC faculty.</p> <p>Vanderbilt's Contemporary Clinical Neurology Symposium is designed primarily for practicing neurologists. Other neurology health care providers including fellows, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners also benefit. Over the past 44 years, neurologists from the Southeast and Eastern seaboard have attended this symposium.</p> <h3>CME Credit Designation</h3> <p>Vanderbilt University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Vanderbilt University Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.0 <em>AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM</em>. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.</p> <h3>Maintenance of Certification </h3> <p>Taking advantage of all the educational offerings at the 45th Annual Contemporary Clinical Neurology Symposium will likely fulfill a three-year cycle of Maintenance of Certification (MOC) exercises required by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) including three Part-II Self-Assessment Exams (24 CME credits, 8 per exam), and Part-IV Performance-in-Practice (20 CME Credits). They also need improved evaluation and management strategies in addition to novel approaches in monitoring patients with headache disorders, epilepsy, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders.</p> <h3>Learning Objectives</h3> <p>After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss:</p> <ul><li>Improved evaluation and diagnosis of headache, epilepsy, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders.</li> <li>Evidence-based management strategies for headache, epilepsy, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders.</li> <li>Implications of potential federal health care policy changes being proposed.</li> </ul><h3>Faculty Disclosure</h3> <p>It is the policy of Vanderbilt University Medical Center to require disclosure of financial relationships from individuals in a position to control the content of a CME activity; to identify and resolve conflicts of interest related to those relationships; and to make disclosure information available to the audience prior to the CME activity. Registrants and (1) guest are included in the registration fee. Additional guests may be added in advance (by June 17). There is a fee of $100.00 per additional guest. Children 10 and under are complimentary. What are my options?</strong><br /> Registration fees are for the full symposium. You may choose to attend the full symposium or specific sessions that are of interest to you. May I register to attend?</strong><br /> MSLs are not permitted to attend in person, but may register to attend virtually, as silent participants (no Q&amp;A). CME credits will not be provided to physician employees of pharmaceutical or medical device companies because physician employees of pharmaceutical or medical device companies are not allowed to participate in accredited CME activities.</p> <p><strong>What if I have to cancel?</strong><br /> Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the start of the symposium (by June 20) for a full refund (minus a $150 administrative fee).</p> <p><strong>What if the conference is cancelled?</strong><br /> In the event of cancellation or rescheduling of this CME activity due to unforeseen circumstances, Vanderbilt University Medical Center will refund registration fees in full.
