Initiating Peripheral IV Therapy

This 2-hour course will provide instruction on the proper technique to initiate peripheral venous therapy.  The instructor-led course will include identification of proper supplies, demonstration of the insertion technique, securing the catheter, and proper disposal of the equipment.  Participants of the class will have the opportunity to return demonstrate the proper insertion of a peripheral venous catheter in a simulated environment. A prerequisite learning module is assigned upon enrollment of the class and required to be completed prior to attending class.
