Mavis Schorn, PhD, CNM, FACNM is a Professor, Senior Associate Dean for Academics and a nurse-midwife in the faculty practice at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Dr. Schorn serves as a leader in interprofessional education through participation in activities such as the Vanderbilt University Medical Center interprofessional student-run clinic, Vanderbilt Program for Interprofessional Learning, Southeast Consortium for Interprofessional Education, and the Vanderbilt-Meharry Alliance Interprofessional Collaboration. Her research interests include the third stage of labor and evaluation of teaching methods. She was inducted into the fellowship of the American College of Nurse-Midwives in 2011.
