Burka has been an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Lipscomb University since 2012. Burka currently serves as Director of Interprofessional Education, where she coordinates collaborative learning opportunities for all of Lipscomb’s health science students. Prior to coming to Lipscomb, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed pharmacy practice and critical care residencies at UC Health University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Burka continues to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist at the VA’s Nashville campus, where she is involved in an interprofessional teaching and rounding practice in the surgical intensive care unit. Burka is board certified in pharmacotherapy as well as critical care pharmacy.
