Medical Grand Rounds presents 'Continuous Quality Improvement Is Here to Stay'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. On Wednesday, March 22, 2017, the Department of Internal Medicine will present Medical Grand Rounds, with Marquetta L. Faulkner, MD, MBA, FACP, FASN discussing the topic "Continuous Quality Improvement Is Here to Stay."

Faulkner is Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Internal Medicine. She will speak from 12:10 - 1:15 pm at the S. S. Kresge Learning Resource Center, Lecture Hall 1.

 

Objectives

  • Interpret the need for a standardized quality improvement process
  • Explain “quality” as it relates to patient care
  • Describe some of the Six Sigma tools that help to evaluate and validate quality of care
  • Discuss the physician’s role on the healthcare team
