NASHVILLE, Tenn. On Thursday, June 1, 2017, the Department of Internal Medicine and Nashville General Hospital at Meharry will present Medical Grand Rounds, with Gilbert Gonzales, PhD discussing "Health Care Reform: From ObamaCare to the American Health Care Act."
Gonzales is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He will speak from 6 - 7 pm at the Cal Turner Family Center in Auditorium 1.
OBJECTIVES
- List the characteristics and role of health insurance coverage in the United States, particularly for low-income populations.
- Discuss the relative merits of public health insurance expansions under the Affordable Care Act and their impacts on health disparities.
- Discuss the replacement health care reform plan known as the American Health Care Act.
