After this session, participants will be able to:
1.) Discuss the differences between sexual orientation and gender identity and develop an understanding of a variety of gender identities and expressions
2.) Name three unique healthcare needs in the transgender/gender nonconforming (TGNC) population
3.) Give two examples of how care environments may contribute to healthcare disparities in the TGNC population
4.) Define and practice using gender appropriate language in the healthcare setting
