Raphael Abayateye, MPH

Raphael Abayateye is a Program Manager for the Office of Health Equity. In this role, Raphael supports systems change, education & training initiatives, and collaborations with internal and external partners.

Raphael graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He also received a Master's degree in Public Health at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Raphael is passionate about understanding how economic policies impact community level health outcomes. In his previous role with the Vanderbilt Institute of Global Health, he supported cross-institutional programs and developed an interest in global approaches to health equity. He leveraged his academic training and professional experience in program management, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation to find innovation approaches to building cultural humility and addressing health equity in the field of global health.
