The Office of Health Equity (OHE) drives a systematic and strategic approach to health equity initiatives throughout VUMC by working effectively across various disciplines and entities. Specifically, OHE focuses on education, community and population health, and research.
The OHE also enhances the coordination of health equity-related initiatives happening throughout VUMC. The following are some of the initiatives that OHE supports.
The Health Equity Innovation Awards support innovative ideas and solutions to advance health equity. The awards are built upon the principle that there are assets, opportunities and innovative ideas within VUMC and in our communities that can advance health equity. Advancing health equity ensures that all people have the opportunity to achieve their optimal level of health. To learn more about the award and the 2020 awardees, please click here.
