Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Colorectal cancer starts in the colon or rectum. It's the third most common type of cancer in men and women in the United States. Colorectal cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer when it's found early. Screening is the #1 way to prevent it. All adults should be screened for colorectal cancer. Individual risk factors - such as ethnicity, lifestyle, and family history - wil determine when screening should occur. Talk with your doctor to determine the correct age to begin screening. March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Join with Vanderbilt to:

  • Know the facts!
  • Raise awareness about steps to reduce the risk of getting colorectal cancer - including getting screened!
  • Celebrate survivorship, and honor and remember loved ones!
