Shaina Farfel is an AANP board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the Occupational Health Practice in June 2017. She received a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of William and Mary. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Shaina worked for 3 years providing primary care services at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Nashville. While completing her nursing education, she worked as a community health nurse in Baltimore. She also has experience performing environmental regulatory work in Washington, DC. Shaina’s primary area of interest is in preventative medicine and she believes in a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care.
