Jennifer A. Gaddy, PhD
Dr. Gaddy is currently junior faculty in the Dept. of Medicine at Vanderbilt University. She completed undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry at Indiana University (East), and earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology at Miami University in the laboratory of Dr. Luis Actis (Dept. Chair), studying the contribution of biofilm formation and iron acquisition to Acinetobacter baumannii pathogenesis. Dr. Gaddy completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University in the laboratory of Dr. Timothy Cover (Professor), where she focused her research on the regulation of the Cag-Type IV secretion system in Helicobacter pylori. Dr. Gaddy's work currently focuses on the contribution of zinc homeostasis to the regulation of bacterial pathogenesis.
