Ivette Nuñez, Ph.D.

Ivette Nuñez is a postdoctoral researcher. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia where she earned her Doctoral Degree under Dr. Ted M Ross . Here she researched highly pathogenic avian influenza virus and vaccine design in pre-clinical animal models of disease. Following her graduation of UGA in July 2020, Ivette was awarded an ORISE fellowship at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring Maryland, where she studied SARS-CoV-2 viral infection and pre-immunity in a hamster model. Currently she is investigating seasonal influenza virus immunity and antibody development in the Crowe laboratory.
