Erica Armstrong graduated from MTSU with her BS in Psychology and Neuroscience in 2018. Erica has been at VUMC for about two years as a Lab Assistant in the VUMC Diagnostic Laboratory. She is hoping to pursue a career in neuroimmunology or neuroendocrinology research and become a tenured professor when all is said and done! She has done EEG research with children with learning disabilities and worked with mice to study the effects of prenatal oxytocin exposure on dopamine responses. Erica is ultimately interested in autoimmune diseases that effect the nervous system such as MS, as well as how stress affects long-term neuroendocrine responses.
