Alex Sevy graduated from University of Georgia in 2011, with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
He is a graduate student in the Chemical and Physical Biology program, co-mentored by Dr. Crowe and Jens Meiler. His work studies the immune response to HIV and influenza, and how antibodies developed against one can cross-react with the other. He uses computational modeling software to model the structure of known influenza and HIV antibodies and design new antibodies that can cross-react between the two.
