Robin Bombardi

Lab Manager

Robin G. Bombardi earned a Bachelor’s of Genetics and Biotechnology from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master’s of Forensic Biology from The University of Southern Mississippi.  In his Master’s work, Robin utilized next-generation sequencing to examine epigenetic markers that display tissue-specific DNA methylation patterns in forensic biofluids.  The main objective of his work was to identify a combination of sequencing technology and biological markers that could be used as an alternative methodology for the detection and identification of biofluids originating from crime scenes. In 2015, Robin’s research interests led him to Vanderbilt University to work as a research assistant in Dr. James Crowe, Jr.'s laboratory, where he is focused on next-generation sequencing of antibody genes.
