Master’s Level Research Program Manager
The Center for Asthma Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center invites applications for a Research Program Manager. We are seeking an experienced individual with training and experience in pediatric and/or adult and/or clinical studies. The individual should ideally have experience in broad aspects of human studies, regulatory procedures, data management, and multi-site investigations. Experience in either asthma or pediatric studies would be helpful, although not essential. The ideal candidate will a) aide in coordinating research projects within a dynamic, extramurally-funded and productive clinical and epidemiologic research program focused on asthma prevention within the supportive infrastructure of the Center for Asthma Research, b) assist in developing grant proposals, and c) aide in coordinating collaborations.
Required qualifications:
- Experience, knowledge and assistance in the coordination of human studies and/or observational epidemiologic investigations is essential.
- MPH, MSCI or equivalent degree (or relevant experience)
- Research coordination experience
- Grant writing and development experience
- Data management and some programming experience
- Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background and interest in human studies or clinical trials, particularly in disease prevention, improving care, or implementing health innovations.
- Strong research, analytical, critical thinking, organizational, grant and manuscript writing and communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize and organize complex data.
- Proactive and flexible demeanor with ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Ability to remain goal-oriented and keep investigative team on track.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate.

We are seeking an experienced individual with training and experience in pediatric and/or adult and/or clinical studies. The individual should ideally have experience in broad aspects of human studies, data management, and multi-site investigations. Experience in either asthma or pediatric studies would be helpful, although not essential. The ideal candidate will a) aid in coordinating research projects within a dynamic, extramurally-funded and productive clinical and epidemiologic research program focused on asthma prevention within the supportive infrastructure of the Center for Asthma Research, b) assist in writing and developing grant proposals and manuscripts, c) aide in coordinating collaborative interactions with basic and clinical co-investigators, and d) lead ancillary studies if so desired.
