9:15 a.m. Worship Service
At 9:15 a.m., we will experience worship as presented in the "Re-imagine Worship" series! Worship will include all of our various musical groups, lay leaders, and multi-media worship tools. Over time, Youth, children, and families will be engaged in worship through the arts, lay leadership (liturgists, preachers, prayers, etc.), multi-media, and other ministries. Occurring at the same time will be "Children’s Worship", where children can participate in an instructional and experiential worship gathering! Nursery will also be provided during this hour.
10:30 a.m. Worship Service
The Spanish Language service begins shortly after the ending of the English Language 9:15 a.m. service, in the Worship Center. This service is led by Pastor Corazon Moran.
10:30 a.m. Sunday School
It is exciting to think about the possibilities that may develop when all of our Sunday school classes are offered at the same time: multi-generational programming, family events, luncheons, and much more! We hope that having Sunday school later in the day will encourage young families to be more involved and allow for diverse opportunities in programming.
11:30 a.m. Worship Service
At 11:30 a.m. we will begin worship with 15 minutes of singing, praying, and reading scripture. At 11:45 a.m. Pastor Steve will teach on the sermon topic. Nursery care will be provided for children up to age 5.
This schedule provides great opportunities to have multi-generational worship and Sunday school programs. A positive result may be more participation in after church fellowship, more youth involvement in worship leadership, and a more meaningful worship experience for everyone who worships at VUMC.
